hummingbird

As the weather warms I've been noticing the hummingbirds are starting to spend more time in my backyard. I would see them on occasion during winter, but I see and hear them quite often now, which makes me very happy. I captured this handsome devil this week, just after a light rain. It's been so much fun getting to know the local hummingbirds, their tendencies, and have even learned to distinguish their songs from other types of birds in the area.
