mount shasta

As you probably know, one of my favorite places to spend time is in the Mount Lassen area. It's beautiful on it's own, but one thing that makes it even more special is that from certain vantage points, the gorgeous Mount Shasta can be seen way off in the distance. Sometimes in full view, other times just peeking over the horizon. In this shot, the sun was still rising in the morning, casting an orange glow across the countryside. I'm eternally blessed to witness such immense beauty as often as I do, and am increasingly aware of how much it needs to be protected from our own selves.
