You can't be too picky when photographing wildlife. Most of the time it's being thankful for the opportunity, and hoping the shots turn out great once the opportunity ends. Often the lighting isn't ideal, or the shadows are tricky, or the angles are limited, or the background is bland, or the animal doesn't turn your way, or whatever. But every once in a while, the stars align, and you get something like this; a majestic eagle, perched in the sunlight, with zero distracting shadows, a beautiful blue-sky background, showing off it's sharp profile and close enough to allow for a clear, clean shot.
"Sometimes I arrive just when God’s ready to have someone click the shutter." -Ansel Adams
