As I'm sure you can imagine, getting clear, aesthetically pleasing bee photographs through a macro lens is a patient process. Bees do not stay in one place for very long. In this photo I was zeroed in on one bee, the focus was good, the timing was right, I was about to take the shot and then, out of nowhere, a second buzzed right in. A total gift.
