Do you see the cool rock formations on top of the darkest mountain off to the right of the photo? That's called Diamond Peak. It's one of my favorite parts of the Lassen Volcanic National Park because of how unique the horizon line is and how seemingly precarious the rocks are balanced up there. Even though I'm sure I'll be gone far before, I imagine eventually they'll either disintegrate, or topple over, and that makes me appreciate them even more.
