After work recently I packed up my car and headed towards Lassen. The route I usually take was so jam packed with traffic that I decided to take the much slower route, but it ended up being completely worth it. Instead of being stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic for large portions of the trip, I was cruising through hills and winding roads, stopping to take photos whenever something pretty caught my eye. This walnut grove ended up being the highlight. And instead of arriving at my destination worn out, grumpy and photoless, I arrived with a beautiful photo to share and thankful for the experiences I just had.
